Each section meets the Florida 1-hour specialty requirement in molecular pathology; Section B also meets cytogenetics and microbiology requirements; Section C also meets administration/supervision.
For those certified by ASCP, Section A provides 12 contact hours in molecular pathology; Section B provides 8 hours in molecular pathology, 2 in cytogenetics and 2 in microbiology; Section C provides 10 hours in molecular pathology and 2 in laboratory management.
With a focus on the application of molecular concepts to diagnostic purposes, Molecular Diagnostics: Fundamentals, Methods, and Clinical Applications explains and illustrates the use and interpretation of molecular-based assays in patient care. The level is advanced.
