Pathology for the Health Professions, Fifth Edition Histology is a visual science that addresses the anatomical characteristics and the functional states of cells and tissues in health. In this course, clinical relevance is stressed in order to provide the technologist a feel for the mechanisms and characteristics of disease processes. Graphic material (light microscopy photographs and illustrations) is well-suited to an understanding of the function of fundamental cellular components in disease. The text is correlated on each page with the accompanying graphic material; the text material is well organized and very readable.
